About Terrace:
Terrace Martin is an eight-time GRAMMY-nominated producer, artist, composer and
multi-instrumentalist whose career has helped shape the intersection of hip-hop, R&B and jazz
for more than two decades. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Martin began arranging music and
working in professional studio sessions as a teenager, eventually building a longstanding
creative relationship with Snoop Dogg and becoming a central figure within the city’s musical
community. His production and musicianship have contributed to some of contemporary music’s
most significant recordings, including Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city and To Pimp a
Butterfly, while his extensive solo and collaborative catalog includes the GRAMMY-nominated
Velvet Portraits and Drones, along with projects with artists including Herbie Hancock, Robert
Glasper, Kamasi Washington, James Fauntleroy, Alex Isley and Kenyon Dixon. Martin is also a
founding member of Dinner Party alongside Glasper, Washington and 9th Wonder, whose
catalog includes the GRAMMY-nominated Dinner Party: Dessert and 2026 album Whatchu
Bringing? His collaborative album Come As You Are with Kenyon Dixon earned two nominations
at the 2026 GRAMMY Awards, bringing Martin to eight career nominations. Beyond recording,
his work spans film and television, including Bel-Air, The Photograph and They Cloned Tyrone.
As founder of the independent label and creative platform Sounds of Crenshaw, Martin has built
an infrastructure for his solo and collaborative work, which collectively has generated more than
17 billion streams and contributed to more than 16 million album sales worldwide.
